Large Seat Twist-lock / Connector

Large seat twist-lock (also called large seat connector, rotation twist lock or container intermediate twistlocks) are intermediate twist-locks that used to secure two containers together (via container corner casting locking). It has a breaking load of 420 kN and is available with right or left locking mechanism.

Large seat twist locks are the most commonly used connectors for shipping containers. They consist of a metal casting with a rotating mechanism that locks into the corner casting of a container. Twist locks allow containers to be stacked or locked side by side, providing a safe and reliable connection.

Traditional shipping container twist locks are locked and unlocked manually (or optional automatically type) using operating levers. Rotate the movable part around the vertical axis to lock the device and container into the twist lock base on the hatch cover or other container.
